Cat Vet Care

Welcome to our feline friendly clinic, where we advocate for our feline patients and provide feline-specific care.

In the waiting room, we have a quiet feline-friendly corner where you can rest your pet carrier off the floor.

We can provide a cover for carriers if your cat needs to feel more secure. It can help to place something from home, like bedding or an item of clothing, in their basket to help them feel more at ease; we can use this in their kennel in hospital should they stay for the day.

If your cat gets very anxious with vet visits, there may be medication that can be given at home to reduce stress during their appointment. Please ask if you think this might be helpful to your cat.

To make their experience as comfortable and fear-free as possible, we use minimal restraint and a calm quiet environment for handling and any procedures throughout their stay. We stay trained in the most up-to-date advice from International Cat Care on transporting, handling techniques, and fear-free practice for cats.

We have a designated cat ward so your cat will never be able to see, smell, or hear a dog, and all the kennels are forward facing so that they cannot see each other.

Our vet Gemma holds a Feline Medicine Certificate from the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies and has a passion for feline practice, so your cats will be in good hands at Marshall and Pringle.
