An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a non-invasive test that checks the electrical activity of the heart. It can be used to check for abnormal heart rates and rhythms and to monitor your pets heart while under anaesthesia.
This is not usually performed as a singular or exclusive test but is part of the range of testing methods to assess heart health such as stethoscope auscultation, chest X-rays and/or ultrasound.
