Kristy is one of our super-nurses and one of our longest serving vet nurses at Marshall & Pringle Petmed. Kristy has a great memory for pets and their owners.
Kristy did her National Certificate of Veterinary Nursing at CPIT in 2004 and has been at Marshall & Pringle Petmed ever since.
She is passionate about all aspects of her job, and has a special interest in surgical & critical care nursing.
Outside the clinic Kristy is kept busy with her two young sons Lincoln and Fletcher, and helping her partner Nick on their free range egg farm.
Kristy has a Labrador - Marley and 2 cats - Frankie, & Henry.
Fiona is another of our star nurses and has had lots of experience since completing her National Certificate in Veterinary Nursing at Christchurch Polytechnic in 1999. Fiona has been at Marshall & Pringle Petmed since 2012.
Fiona is an expert at practical handling and just loves puppies. She is also very good at winding up any dogs that come into our clinic, just in time to see the Vet (thanks Fee!). She is a valuable part of our team, and has an unconditional amount of love to all animals and people that come through the clinic.
Outside the clinic, Fiona loves exercising her two rescue dogs Flame a Border Collie cross and Rose a Staffy cross. She then likes to sit down and relax with a good book. Her husband, two teenage girls and two tabby cats keep her busy the rest of the time!
Lauren has always been passionate about animals and ventured into the veterniary nursing career path at the age of 19. She studied full time at ARA and qualified with both animal care and veterinary nursing certificates in 2012. Whilst training she gained valuable experience at Amberley Vets Afterhours and Greyhounds as Pets Charity.
Lauren has been a highy valued member of the team at Marshall and Pringle since 2011. Lauren is passionate about monitoring her patients during surgery, getting to know our lovely clients and their much loved pets, training new students and generally keeping us all organised!
Outside of work Lauren enjoys travelling overseas, riding and spending time with her four horses, practicing astronomy or just simply curling up with her two cats Toulouse and Chirley watching Netflix! Lauren also has a Greyhound called Rex, as she fell in love with the breed due to her Greyhound Rescue work.
Nicole is the newest member to the M+P family, and we are very lucky to have her! She is a very experienced nurse and has a strong skill set in all aspects of nursing including practice management.
Nicole always had a passion for animals, and started her Veterinary Nursing career back in 2010 working as a Veterinary Nurse and large Animal Technician in the Waikato. In 2019 she moved down to Christchurch to continue Veterinary Nursing.
Her passions are emergency and critical care, and she has a massive soft spot for the geriatric patients.
Nicole prides herself on her ability to know who a client is by their voice on the phone, and really enjoys the client care side of the nursing role.
In her spare time she loves to cook and experiment with new recipes. If Nicole isn’t in the kitchen, you’ll find her enjoying time with her rescue Boxer and 2 cats or visiting her family and friends.
