Our Vet Nurses

The people of Petmed Your Vets

Kristy Storer

Veterinary Nurse

Kristy is one of our super-nurses and one of our longest serving vet nurses at Marshall & Pringle Petmed. Kristy has a great memory for pets and their owners.

Kristy did her National Certificate of Veterinary Nursing at CPIT in 2004 and has been at Marshall & Pringle Petmed ever since.

She is passionate about all aspects of her job, and has a special interest in surgical & critical care nursing.

Outside the clinic Kristy is kept busy with her two young sons Lincoln and Fletcher, and helping her partner Nick on their free range egg farm.

Kristy has a Labrador - Marley, & 3 cats - Frankie, Melvin & Henry.

Fiona Norton

Veterinary Nurse

Fiona is another of our star nurses and has had lots of experience since completing her National Certificate in Veterinary Nursing at Christchurch Polytechnic in 1999. Fiona has been at Marshall & Pringle Petmed since 2012.

Fiona is an expert at practical handling and just loves puppies. She is also very good at winding up any dogs that come into our clinic, just in time to see the Vet (thanks Fee!). She is a valuable part of our team, and has an unconditional amount of love to all animals and people that come though this clinic.

Outside the clinic, Fiona enjoys exercising her dog Flame, and loves reading a good book once he is eventually tired! She has 2 daughters, 3 cats and 1 rabbit to also keep her busy.

Valerie Bunn

Veterinary Nurse

Val is one of Marshall & Pringle Petmed's original Vet Nurses, and she is a familiar face to most of our clients and their pets. Val has been working with Murray and Barb since their first day at work in 1976! She is a very experienced and valued member of our team.

Val's special skill is recognising clients by their car and bringing up their details before they walk in the door. Val has a vast wealth of vet nursing knowledge and she can help with absolutely anything you need to know.

In her free time Val loves to bake healthy cakes for the staff. She also enjoys tramping and is an experienced apiarist.

Bridie Laloli

Veterinary Nurse

Bridie is our ever-efficient part time nurse, who can be found behind the desk two afternoons a week. An experienced vet nurse (Bridie first started with Murray & Barb in 1977, just one year after Val!), Bridie has a wealth of knowledge and common sense experience.  Bridie is Marshall & Pringle Petmed's Facebook Administrator (check out our page!) and is always updating our page with useful information for pet owners. Photos of our clients' pets also feature from time to time.

We often say Bridie should start a pet detective agency, she is that good at helping reunite missing animals with their owners. She is also our cleaner extraordinaire, and is not happy until the washing basket is empty and the mopping done!

Outside the clinic Bridie loves spending time on her lifestyle block with her animals, cherries and peonies. Bridie also dotes on her grandchildren and loves spending time with her family.

Lauren Bridgford

Veterinary Nurse

Lauren has always loved animals. She was such a great student nurse she was snapped up by Marshall and Pringle after she finished her National Certificate in Veterinary Nursing in 2012.

Lauren loves surgery, teaching new vet nursing students, keeping things tidy and meeting all our lovely patients.

Outside of the clinic, Lauren has her time taken up by her greyhound Rex, cat son Toulouse, and her 4 'special care' horses. She is also a keen traveller.

Jen Robinson

Veterinary Nurse

Jen joined us in 2016 as a student vet nurse and was very happy to be officially employed by the M&P family once she finished her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2017. Prior to this career change, Jen worked in the environmental science industry, having gained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Waikato in 2004.
Jen has loved getting to know our valued clients and their pets, and enjoys all aspects of this varied role.
She is a keen mountain biker, who enjoys spending weekends riding in the Port Hills or Canterbury foothills, and loves gardening. She is currently on maternity leave.

Megan Charles

Veterinary Nurse

Megan is one of our newest team members and says she is super excited to be part of such a fun, caring veterinary team!
Megan loves all areas of vet nursing; from patient hospital care, to surgical nursing and meeting all the wonderful pets and clients out on reception.
At home, Megan has a firey ginger tabby cat, an adorable chocolate labrador and a hilarious Dutch rabbit to keep her busy. When Megan is not hanging out with the wonderful pets at home or at work, she loves going to the beach, doing lots of arty projects and water colour illustration's, as well as spending time with family and friends.

Lisa Ewans

Veterinary Nurse

Lisa recently joined us here at Marshall & Pringle, after having time away from the industry.
She originally trained as a vet nurse here in Christchurch and is very excited to get back into caring for your animals.
At home, Lisa has a Chocolate Lab called Kahi, as well as a cat called Storm who lives up to his name! She is also kept busy with 3 children, loves getting into the outdoors tramping and gardening.
